It completely disgusts me that for so long of my life, my parents would tell me “don’t look at them,” when approaching a homeless person on the street, as if they weren’t even fucking human. And when we’ve just gotten off the eisenhower and a begging man walks by with a cardboard sign, they won’t even look at them. Goddamn repulsive. Not having a home does not mean you are a criminal. It does not mean that you are scum. That you are not even worth the pitiful eyes of the priveleged world to look down upon you. Fuck that shit.
